About the Champions of Change Awards Gala

The Canada Beyond The Blue Champions of Change Mental Health Awards Gala is an event dedicated to celebrating the individuals and organizations making a significant impact on mental health within the Ontario law enforcement community. This annual gala honors those who go above and beyond to support the well-being of Ontario police members and their families, promoting resilience, understanding, and compassion.

The awards highlight various areas of excellence, including Leadership, Community Partnership, Advocacy, and Courage. Each recipient has demonstrated a deep commitment to breaking the stigma around mental health and fostering positive change within the policing community.

The event is also a time to pay tribute to families who have faced loss, particularly those who have lost loved ones to the mental health challenges associated with policing. A heartfelt ceremony is held in their honor, providing a space for acknowledgment, healing, and community support.

Through this gala, Canada Beyond The Blue not only celebrates the achievements of these Champions of Change but also raises awareness about the ongoing need for mental health support in Ontario law enforcement. It brings together stakeholders, community leaders, and supporters to inspire continued progress and ensure that Ontario police members and their families receive the care and support they deserve.
