DESCRIPTION:Join us for a two-day\, interactive workshop designed to teach participants how to recognize when someone may be at risk of suicide and how to respond with confidence and compassion. ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is the world’s leading suicide first aid course\, used in over 30 countries and recognized as the gold standard for suicide prevention education. \nThrough a mix of discussion\, role-play\, and hands-on learning\, participants will learn how to: \n\nIdentify signs that someone may be thinking about suicide\nEngage in a safe and supportive conversation\nDevelop a collaborative safety plan to keep the person safe\n\nThis course is open to police members\, families\, peer supporters\, and community partners. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn and help.
